The Grangetown Choir!

Here at Grangetown, we take great pride in our Choir! Our fabulous singers represent our school so well and their dedication is amazing!
Sessions take place on a Wednesday lunch time with our music teacher Mrs Todd, a professional vocalist.
The choir gives our pupils an opportunity to develop their singing skills, to take part in performances, and to be involved in external music projects. Being in the Choir develops confidence and teamwork.
We hope to keep delivering fantastic musical opportunities for the Choir and continue to make it a fun way that the children can 'find their voice'!
Sunderland Sings!
The GPS Choir were very excited to have the opportunity to join lots of other schools at Sunderland Empire for Sunderland Sings 2025. This was a great way to hear live music and also enjoy singing with others.

Easter Celebration Assembly!
We had a very special Easter assembly, with Father David. The children enjoyed hearing about Holy Week - Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday. The choir had a very important job, because they closed the assembly with a joyous song – Sing Hosanna. They led the singing so well, and everyone in the Hall joined in.
