Admissions

If you would like to enquire about a place for your child, please call at the school, telephone us on 0191 814 9820 or email us (contact information is here). Admission forms are available from school, or from Sunderland Council - see below (the Council also has a link to enable online applications).

As a local authority school, our Admission procedures are set out on the Sunderland Council website, here. That page includes a link to apply online for a school place.

Little Butterflies Nursery - for 2 year olds

We offer 12 morning places for 2 year olds and 8 afternoon places. The session timings are Monday to Friday, 8.45-11.45 and 12.30-3.30. Free places may be available for eligible families. Find out more about Little Butterflies here.

Foundation Stage Nursery - for 3 year olds

Children start school on a part-time basis in our Nursery class in the January, April or September following their 3rd birthday. A Nursery place is provided on the basis of 15 hours per week, taken either in the morning or the afternoon or we can also offer flexible sessions across the week. We do also offer eligible families free 30 hour places for their children as well. We also offer 'top-up' sessions, enabling you to book extra half-days, on top of the 15 hours, for a reasonable fee - please contact our Office if you would like more information about this. Find out more about our Nursery here.

Admission to Reception

Children start school full time in the September following their 4th birthday. Please note that acceptance to the Nursery class will not guarantee admission to the Reception class; parents will still need to apply for a place in Reception, in the usual way. Find out more about Reception class here.
