Introduction
In order to ensure that Governors are made aware of school
events well in advance, we will be regularly updating this
page. All Governors are very welcome to come along to our
events and activities.
It’s important that Governors build up a feel for how
the school operates, by visiting to see the school in action
and by meeting staff, pupils and parents, and by sometimes being part
of special events. As a Governor, you are a valued member of
our school community – you will always receive a warm
welcome.

Types of Event
This page is divided into four sections. Firstly, there are
events that happen weekly Secondly there are 'special events'
which are for example seasonal or set up to support a
charity etc. If you want to attend any of these 'weekly' or
'special' events please ring the school in advance to
discuss the event and to check that the schedule is running
as normal. Thirdly, there are 'link Governor' meetings - for
this you will be directed to a separate page on our website. Fourthly there are Committee and Full Governor
meetings.

Achievers' Assembly: Fridays at 10.15
School Council: usually on a Friday
at 12.30
Enjoy a school lunch with the children! Mon-Fri.12.00-12.30.

Link Governor
Meetings and Visits
All Governors are linked to a particular curriculum
subject or an area of school life. This allows Governors to become well acquainted with that area, and
through school visits and background reading to develop an
in-depth knowledge. Please click

Committee and Full Governor Meetings: Autumn Term 2011

Wednesday 5 October.
5.00pm Full Governing Body meeting - this is a
setting-up meeting. We will set dates for forthcoming
meetings, look at the make up of our current Committees,
discuss our Link Governor Scheme, and make plans for a Staff
& Governor session on strategic planning.
