In 1981 the two schools amalgamated and one school was created: Grangetown Primary School. Later, a seperate nursery was added.
In September 2003 a brand new school opened, following the demolition of the old building. The photograph on the right shows the new school nearing completion.

Time Machine - let's go back 50 years!
For a nostalgic and fascinating glimpse into the past, click here to visit our page of photographs taken in 1959. As well as a view of how the school looked from the outside, you will see photographs of every class (with children's and staff names), a staff line-up, plus photographs of the children playing shops, reading, doing PE, playing musical instruments and having lunch.

The children featured in the photographs will all now be in their mid to late-50s. If you spot yourself on one of the photographs, please call into school and we'll print you a good quality copy - and we hope you can share your memories of your school days with our children.
