3. News, Messages, Reminders!

A Fantastic Line-Up of After School Clubs
We are offering 16 Clubs from week beginning 12 September - a superb line-up and testimony to the commitment of our staff. You will get a letter today so that your child can sign-up - please return it on Monday.

Please Label Uniforms
Children have come back to school looking very smart in their new uniforms.  Could we remind parents/carers to ensure every item of uniform is clearly labelled with your child’s name. This helps avoid any items being lost/misplaced.

Information from your child’s teacher coming soon
Your child’s teacher will soon be sending home details of PE and homework days, along with information about topics being covered this year.

Homework
We ask all children to remember to bring their homework back to school on time and to bring reading books to school everyday.  Please help by encouraging your children to develop these good learning habits.

A note on ear-piercings
If your child has their ears pierced, please ensure they wear only very small studs.  This is to avoid any accidents. As a general policy, we would
discourage the wearing of any form of ear-rings or studs in school - however we understand that some children have had this done and that as a parent you may feel that you want your child to wear small studs.

Our ‘Great North Runners’!
On Sunday, 18th September two of our secretarys, Mrs Minto & Mrs Lowden will be doing the Great North Run.  As a school, we are very supportive of the
Grace House North East Children’s Hospice Appeal, and Mrs Minto and Mrs Lowden will be raising money for that very worthwhile cause. I am sure you will join us in wishing them well on the day!

Parking
Thankyou for your support with our Safe Parking Campaign!

Attendance
Every week we give out awards to our best attenders.  Please do all that you can to support your child’s attendance in school.  Thank you
