Our priorities for 2010-11 are set out below.
This summarises our full SIP, which goes into much detail about
the actions needed to achieve our aims, resources and funding,
staffing, success criteria, evaluation and so on. The
full SIP also provides the long term strategic plan for our
school, an analysis of all pupil performance data, and a
detailed budget.
Underpinning our Plan is the aim of ensuring
that achievement and standards are as high as possible.
Everything we do is linked to that overall aspiration.
- Continue to develop
teaching and learning, with a particular focus upon AfL
(Assessment for Learning) and upon Writing
- Develop calculation
strategies in mathematics
- Improve and develop the
outdoor area in EYFS
- Strengthen our
approaches to Anti-Bullying and Behaviour - this will
include a series of workshops for all pupils on issues
including self-esteem, bullying, relationships - we will
also establish a team of playground buddies
- Continue to develop our 'themed'
approach to curriculum organisation. This will ensure that the curriculum
is a 'Grangetown Curriculum', tailored to the needs of our
pupils and as meaningful and motivational as possible
- Continue to build
strong links with Daisychain daycare
- Further develop the
home-school partnership. Ensure that communication with
parents is a strong feature of the school, that parents are
consulted
- Continue to develop an
exciting range of after school clubs.
