We had a very special addition to Foundation Stage this week: 8 fluffy chicks!

The eggs were delivered last Monday and we had to wait very patiently before the eggs started to hatch.  The first chick arrived on Wednesday evening and Miss Holt caught it all on camera

By Friday morning we had 8 healthy chicks and we transferred them into a brooder box where they have lots of space to play.

The chicks are now strong enough for us to hold and we have enjoyed making homes for them and toys for them to play with.

We have named all of our chicks, although we sometimes get them mixed up!

The children have really enjoyed this experience and have been very excited to share the chicks progress with their parents.
