Science is about
developing an understanding of ourselves and the world around
us.
The science curriculum draws upon children's natural curiosity
and enables them to investigate the answers to scientific
questions in a logical way. They do a great deal of practical
work as well as using sources like information books and
information technology.
The main areas of investigation are:
~ Life and living processes e.g. what plants and animals need to
live and grow.
~ Materials and how they change e.g. the effects of freezing and
boiling.
~ Simple physics e.g. electricity and magnetism. |
